In 2013 Resident Evil: Retribution dominated the world. It opened as a #1 movie in America, as well as, breaking world records.
Most recently, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter opened at #1 at the box office in Japan in December of 2016 and will release domestically and around the world in early 2017. The Resident Evil franchise will cross the Billion dollar mark theatrically with this last installment.
